Cocktail Syrups and Mixers We Co-Pack
We produce shelf-stable, non-carbonated, non-alcoholic liquids. For bar and beverage brands, that typically means:
- Simple, rich, and demerara syrups
- Flavored cocktail syrups such as ginger, grenadine, and fruit syrups
- Cocktail mixers such as margarita, old fashioned, and sour mixes
- Shrubs and drinking vinegars
- Coffee and tea syrups for cafes and foodservice
- Private label syrups and mixers for retailers
What we do not run: products that contain alcohol, carbonated beverages, and refrigerated high pH products. We would rather tell you up front than waste your time.
Bottle Formats From 8 oz to 1 Gallon
Your bottle is a big part of how a syrup brand shows up on the shelf and behind the bar, and it is where many co-packers get restrictive. We hot fill glass and plastic containers from 8 oz to 1 gallon. That range covers retail bottles such as 375 mL and 750 mL as well as half gallon and gallon formats for bars and foodservice. We can also hot fill aluminum cans.
Send us your bottle and closure specs and we will confirm the fit on our equipment before you commit to a run. Finished product leaves our facility labeled, case packed, and palletized.
How Hot Fill Keeps Cocktail Syrups Shelf Stable
In hot fill production, the syrup is heated to 185 to 200°F, filled into the bottle at that temperature, capped, and inverted so the hot product sanitizes the closure before cooling. The heat does the preservation work, which is why hot fill suits clean label and organic syrups that avoid synthetic preservatives. Read more about the process on our hot fill co-packer page.
Shelf life depends on your formula and your package. Properly packaged hot fill products can reach up to 2 years, and the date on your label should be backed by a shelf life study. We can run accelerated shelf life studies for you.
Depending on its pH and formula, a shelf-stable syrup may be regulated as an acidified food under 21 CFR Part 114, which requires a scheduled process established by a qualified person, commonly called a process authority. Our team can help you work out what your product needs before the first production run.
SQF and USDA Organic Certified Syrup Manufacturing
InnoMark is certified to the SQF Food Safety Code, Edition 9, a standard recognized by the Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI). Our certificate is issued by NSF Certification, and non-alcoholic cocktail syrups are listed among our certified products. Many retailers and private label programs require a GFSI-recognized manufacturer before they will take on a new product. With an SQF certified co-packer, that requirement is already met.
We are also USDA Organic certified, so we can produce organic cocktail syrups and mixers when your ingredients and formula qualify.
Minimums, Lead Times, and Pricing
Our minimum hot fill run is 5,000 liters, which is the smallest batch our equipment runs properly. In bottles, that is roughly 13,000 bottles at 375 mL or 6,500 bottles at 750 mL.
That makes us a good fit for brands that have outgrown small-batch production and for established brands that need more capacity or a second source. Run size has a large effect on unit price, so tell us your volumes and we will quote on that basis.
Turnkey orders are generally produced within 4 to 6 weeks of your purchase order.
Tolling, Turnkey, and Formulation Support
Tolling
You supply the ingredients and packaging. We handle production, filling, labeling, and case packing.
Turnkey
We source the ingredients, bottles, closures, and labels, then deliver finished pallets.
A mix of both
Supply the components you already have under contract and let us source the rest.
Materials you supply need the appropriate supplier safety documentation and must fit our equipment.
Need help with the formula? Our R&D lab includes a PhD research formulator, nutritionists, and lab technicians who can scale a bar recipe into a production formula, adjust it for shelf stability, or develop a new flavor. R&D support is included for partners who produce with us.
Finished goods ship as labeled, case-packed pallets to your warehouse or 3PL. Fulfillment services are available at an additional cost.
